Why did my location marker jump?
Short answer
Your phone's position estimate corrected itself. This usually happens when signals have been bouncing off buildings and then a clearer view arrives — the phone realises where it actually is and the marker moves there in one step.

Why it looks like a jump
A position estimate is a best guess that is continuously revised. When the phone has been getting reflected signals in a narrow street, the guess drifts. Step into a square and the correction arrives all at once, so the marker appears to teleport rather than slide.
What it means for your walk
Usually very little. A jump of a few metres adds a small amount of distance. A large jump between tall buildings can add more, which is one reason a city walk sometimes measures slightly long.
The recording keeps the positions the phone reported. Walkable does not silently rewrite your path to look tidier.
