Troubleshooting
Walkable cannot find my location
Short answer
Almost always either the location permission was declined, or the phone has not got a satellite fix yet. Check that Walkable is allowed to use your location while you use the app, then stand outside for twenty or thirty seconds.

Step by step
- Check the permissionAndroid settings, apps, Walkable, permissions, location. It needs at least 'While using the app'. Walkable never needs 'All the time'.
- Use precise locationIf the permission screen offers precise or approximate, precise is required for a usable path.
- Go outsideIndoors, a fix is slow and poor. A clear view of the sky fixes it fastest.
- WaitTwenty to thirty seconds from cold. Longer if the phone has been off or has travelled far.
- Check location is on at allThe phone's own location switch, in quick settings.
What happens next?
Your position appears on the map and walks record normally.
Common problems
It worked yesterday and not today
Some phones revoke permissions from apps that have not been opened for a while. Re-grant it in Android settings.
The position is there but very rough
Approximate location is granted rather than precise, or the phone's location mode is set to save battery.
