Troubleshooting
My walk was not saved
Short answer
Two common causes: the walk was never finished, so it is still open rather than lost, or Android stopped Walkable in the background to save battery. Open the app and check whether a walk is still running before assuming it is gone.

Why battery optimisation causes this
Walkable runs a foreground service with a notification precisely so the system knows a walk is happening. Some manufacturers apply harsher rules on top and stop it anyway, usually with the screen off for a long stretch.
When that happens the recording up to that point is kept, but the walk cannot continue and may need finishing manually.
Step by step
- Open WalkableIf a walk is still in progress, finish it now — it will save with what it has.
- Check your historyWalks save on finish, so an unfinished walk will not be listed yet.
- Exclude Walkable from battery optimisationAndroid settings, apps, Walkable, battery — choose unrestricted. Also check any manufacturer 'app sleep' or 'protected apps' list.
