Sharing and community
What is the difference between Guides and Community?
Short answer
Guides are written and checked by Walkable — they describe what the app actually does today, and Ask Walkable answers only from them. Community is a public space where walkers share experiences and ideas, in their own words.

Guides
Verified, dated and maintained. If a guide says a feature works a certain way, that has been checked against the app rather than against older marketing copy. When something changes, the guide changes and the date moves.
This is also why Ask Walkable will say it does not know rather than guess: it can only answer from these pages.
Community
Other walkers, writing for each other: routes worth taking, what worked, what to look out for. Not verified by us, and valuable for exactly that reason — it is the knowledge that only comes from people who walk somewhere.
Which to use
'How does this feature work?' is a Guides question. 'Where is a nice walk near here?' is a Community question. 'Something is broken' is a Support question.
