How do published trails appear in Walkable?
Short answer
Once a person approves a trail, it joins a published catalogue, and Walkable reads that catalogue. Trails that are withdrawn are removed promptly, so a route found to be unsafe stops being offered without waiting for the next release.

Why a catalogue rather than a live feed
A published set that changes deliberately is easier to trust than a stream of individual submissions. It also means what you see has been through the whole process — verification walk and human decision — rather than arriving the moment somebody pressed submit.
Withdrawal is fast
If a trail turns out to be wrong or unsafe, it can be pulled quickly rather than waiting for the next catalogue. Safety corrections should not queue behind anything.
