Walking without internet

What works offline?

Short answer

Recording a walk, your entire history, photos and notes all work offline with no preparation at all. Maps, route planning and turn-by-turn guidance work offline in any area you have prepared an offline map for.

Always works, no preparation needed

Recording a walk. GPS comes from satellites, not from the internet, so your path is tracked with no signal whatsoever.

Everything already on the phone: your full walking history, saved places, photos, videos, voice notes, statistics, goals and streaks.

Adding photos, videos and notes to the walk you are on.

Works offline once a region is prepared

The map itself. Route planning, including loops of a chosen length. Turn-by-turn guidance with speech and vibration. Rerouting when you leave the line.
