Will my walk be saved if I lose internet during a walk?
Short answer
Yes, completely. Recording a walk uses GPS and the phone's own storage — never the internet. If you lose signal mid-walk, the recording continues exactly as before and the walk saves normally when you finish.

Why losing signal cannot lose the walk
The walk is written to your phone as it happens, not uploaded somewhere and fetched back. There is no server involved in recording, so there is nothing for a lost connection to interrupt.
GPS is also not the internet. Position comes from satellites directly, which is why a walk records correctly in aeroplane mode.
What you may notice instead
If you are in an area with no prepared offline map, the map underneath you may go grey when the connection drops. That is the map failing to load, not the recording failing — the path is still being recorded and will be there when you finish.
If you were live sharing, the person following you stops receiving updates until signal returns. Your own recording is unaffected.
